History and Promises
The chaplet was revealed in Portugal to the servant of God Antónia de Astónaco approximately in the year 1750. The Archangel Michael told the Carmelite nun that he wished to be honored by the recitation of nine salutations through which the intercession of St. Michael and the corresponding 9 celestial Choirs is invoked, praying an Our Father and three Hail Marys in each salutation.
St. Michael promised to those who pray the chaplet to:
Send an angel chosen from each angelic choir to accompany the devotees at the time of communion.
And to those who recite the Chaplet daily, he assures them that:
They will enjoy his continued assistance during this life and also after death.
They will be accompanied by all the angels and will receive deliverance from purgatory for themselves and their relations

Concluding prayers:
O glorious prince St. Michael, chief and commander of the heavenly hosts, guardian of souls, vanquisher of rebel spirits, servant in the house of the Divine King and our admirable conductor, you who shine with excellence and superhuman virtue deliver us from all evil, who turn to you with confidence and enable us by your gracious protection to serve God more and more faithfully every day.
V/. Pray for us, O glorious St. Michael, Prince of the Church of Jesus Christ.
R/. That we may be made worthy of His promises.
Almighty and Everlasting God, Who, by a prodigy of goodness and a merciful desire for the salvation of all men, has appointed the most glorious Archangel St. Michael Prince of Your Church, make us worthy, we ask You, to be delivered from all our enemies, that none of them may harass us at the hour of death, but that we may be conducted by him into Your Presence. This we ask through the merits of Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.
PRAYER TO MARY QUEEN OF ANGELS:
August Queen of Heaven, sovereign queen of Angels, you who at the beginning received from God the power and the mission to crush the head of Satan, we beseech you humbly, send your holy legions so that, on your orders and by your power, they will track down demons, fight them everywhere, curb their audacity and plunge them into the abyss.
Who can be compared to God? Oh, good and tender Mother, you will always be our love and our hope. Oh, divine Mother, send the Holy Angels and Archangels to defend me and to keep the cruel enemy far from me. Holy Angels and Archangels defend us,
protect us. Amen.
Sign of the Cross: In the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Advice:
1) It is essential not to reduce this devotion to a superstition: nothing is guaranteed without true faith and a coherent Christian life. Otherwise, we would be dishonoring the mercy of God, who offers this devotion to the glorious Archangel, St. Michael as a help for us to one day attain eternal life.
2) Just like St. Michael, we are called to be humble. Instead of seeking prayers directed to him, this glorious archangel—whose very name means "Who is like God?"— directs us to offer our prayers to God, his creator, and to the Virgin Mary, queen of all the angels. He also reminds us to recognize all the angels, not just him, an incredible sign of his humility. In this spirit of humility, we must acknowledge that it is difficult—perhaps impossible—to always pray with the perfect faith, devotion, and focus this devotion requires. But rather than discouraging us, this should move us to ask the Lord and St. Michael, Prince of His Church, to look more upon our intentions and our sincere desire to carry out this beautiful practice. And we must trust that, more by their mercy than by our own actions, we may obtain the promises attached to this devotion.
